Student Spending Account
A spending money allowance is suggested while students are at The Putney School Summer Programs. There is a bookstore on campus where students may charge against their spending money account, as well as an off-campus trip where students will be able to make purchases. In order for a students to withdraw cash for off-campus trips or charge items at the bookstore, money must be deposited into their account prior to arrival on campus.
Most families find that $100-$150 is a sufficient amount for spending money for each three-week session (this amount is only meant to serve as a guideline).
Any funds remaining in student accounts are refunded by check and sent together with a final reconciliation statement at the end of the summer.
The Putney School Summer Programs cannot be responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced personal items, including money, while students are on campus. Any cash that students bring with them should be deposited with valuables at registration.
